Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a busy day for us. We started the day off on time for once! Every day it's getting quicker and quicker to get ready and get out of the house. We went to my grandma's in Dogtown for lunch and present opening first. It's gotten quite wild with the twins being big enough to run around and play. They are so cute but they sure are into everything.

Grandma got all the great granddaughters silver shoes with their birth info on them. Daisy was so cute trying to get the shoe on her foot. She even took her sock off at one point to see if that would help!!

After all the excitement with my family we drove across the county to Jacob's grandma and grandpa Anslinger in St. Wendel. His mom is one of 8 kids and EVERYONE comes to Christmas eve there so there are lots of people there! Olivia got to meet her new cousin Isabelle for the first time.

All of the grandkids draw names at Thanksgiving for who to give a present to. Victoria got our names and got Jacob and me a monkey shaped oven mitt and got Olivia her first "Taggies" toy. I was really excited! I'm sure Olivia will be one day too :)

We got home around 10:30 that night and went straight to bed! We are so blessed to have such wonderful loving families.

A day of Friends

Monday was a day of friends for Miss Olivia.
Since she was born Gina, Brooke and I have been wanting to get our girls together to take pictures so we can keep record of our girls growing up together. We finally did that on Monday. Boy, it's gonna be wild one day. Miss Emma is just getting active and Annabelle is not far behind. It will be so fun watching them in the years to come!

Then that evening Olivia and I went to the hospital to wait for the arrival of baby Mushrush. Well at 6:29PM Miss Evelyn June Mushrush was born to happy parents Angela (Hooper) and Eric Mushrush. They did not know what they were having to it was super exciting when Eric came out of the room and told us all the news! She was 7lbs 11oz and 21 1/2 in.

Look at my pretty orange hair!!!
Angela and I have been friends since we were 3 years old and now our little girls can be friends from the very beginning!

Busy Busy Bees

This past week was a very busy week for the Herr family.
Monday- Olivia and I picked up Vanessa that morning and went on a shopping trip to find her a dress for the wedding. We then went to her doctors appt. She now weighs 8-0.5! I was so happy when that number popped up on the scale. She gained more than an ounce a day which is great!

Tuesday- Olivia was introduced into the wonderful tradition of Man Hating Monday (not always on a Monday). MHM is a tradition Claire and I started in high school of making time each week to hang out. We don't necessarily man-hate any more but that's how it started :) We went to Target and then to Texas Roadhouse to eat. Olivia slept pretty much the whole time but I think she still had fun!

Wednesday- We met Aunt Vanessa at Nail Expo to get pedicures.

Thursday/Thanksgiving day-All three of us loaded up in the Dodge to go to my grandma's house. Olivia was screaming when we put her in the truck but 2 minutes in the ride she was dead asleep. She likes the noise and vibration of the diesel :) We stayed at my grandma's for a while and were very entertained by the twins, Daisy and Miley. They sure are busy. It will be wild next year when Olivia is old enough to get in on the action. For dinner we went to Jacob's aunt Ruth's house where some of his family met Olivia for the first time. That day was the first day I was out all day without any rest and I sure could tell. I was exhausted!!

Friday- That morning we went to the 4H center to help decorate for the wedding. We were supposed to be there are 8:30 and for the first time since Olivia has been born we were early!! Only 5 minutes but hey! It was a huge accomplishment! After decorating we went to Chris and Annie's house for a while. That evening was the rehersal dinner. Olivia was so glad and slept the whole time minus when she ate. After the dinner Gina and Emma came over while some of the rest of the wedding party went to Fischer's for a few last night of freedom beers :)

Saturday- The big day! November 29, 2008. Matthew and Vanessa's wedding day. We started out that morning at Vanessa's getting our hair and make-up done. Then the ceremony and reception. That night Olivia stayed at Granma and Granpa's for the first time. They loved it. She was good they said. I'm not sure they would have admitted if she wasn't. I got 5 straight hours of sleep. It was awesome. Though I did miss her alot!

Sunday- We met Carrie, Colleen, Jessica and Claire at Donut Bank that morning. It was nice to hang out with them. After that we came home and got Jacob and went to Matthew and Vanessa's for brunch and to watch them open presents. Then they left for Hawaii, lucky ducks!!

After all that business and not much rest I caught a cold. Good thing Olivia is fine. I can't figure out how to put pictures where I want them in the post but once I do I will put some up to go along with all the words!
